Economic Region with Good Prospects

Bavaria is the hub for east-west and north-south trade within Europe. The EU’s eastward expansion has made Bavaria even more attractive as an economic base. No region in Europe offers better conditions for serving these emerging markets.

This is already recognized by the companies in ChemDelta Bavaria. They have invested over the last years approx. €4 billion in new production plants and site infrastructure.

From 2012, the Ethylene Pipeline South (EPS) in Southern Germany has opened access to the north-west European ethylene network – as the hub of a pan-European pipeline system.

The 20 companies based here already generate total annual sales of more than €10 billion with over 20,000 employees: i.e., roughly half of Bavaria’s chemical industry workforce achieves over 6% of German chemical sales.

How we think ...

"The region´s strategic location and the community of companies there will continue to offer outstanding prospects - though only if the local infrastructure keeps pace with the business growth."
